The coupling offers <strong>extreme torsional stiffness<\/strong>, but remains flexible and is designed to withstand high speeds and temperatures. The shaft can be secured by means of 1 or 2 radial clamping bolts (with or without keyway) or with a clamping ring that is tightened axially. The couplings can transmit up to 3,000 Nm on clamping force alone (so without keyway). Combinations are possible, so for example on 1 side with a clamping bolt, on the other side with a clamping ring.<\/p>\n<p>A Disc coupling is also called a plate or multi-plate coupling. It is a high-performance servo coupling designed to transmit torque (by connecting two shafts) while accommodating misalignment. It is designed to be flexible, while maintaining torsional strength under high torque loads. Depending on the application, <strong>a single-stage or two-stage version<\/strong> can be selected.
