A great achievement for this enthusiastic team of students who participate fully voluntarily and usually in their own time in this project. Below a summary of the history of Team Rembrandts.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment they are fully engaged in the development of the robot for season 2018. For this they have 6 weeks time, a huge challenge that motivates in all disciplines within Team Rembrandts to go to the limit. As a sponsor Apex Dynamics BV is following the adventures of Team Rembrandts.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4761\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/Teamrembrandts-4481-logo.jpg\" alt=\"Team Rembradts logo\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/Teamrembrandts-4481-logo.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/Teamrembrandts-4481-logo-125x125.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>2011-2012,\u00a0The NASA Knights<\/h2>\n<p>2011 was the beginning of FIRST Robotics Competition for Team Rembrandts, team 4481, led by The Nasa Knights, team 122, at the FIRST Championship 2012 in St. Louis. Our founder Ron Visser was there with a FIRST Tech Challenge team and he was very interested in FIRST Robotics Competition.<\/p>\n<p>After asking a couple of teams if they could help, they all said: team 122, The Nasa Knights, is the way to go. So in co-operation with The Nasa Knights, Team Rembrandts was born.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 we started with our first robot for the Rebound Rumble game. This was an practice year, so we didn\u2019t compete in an regional.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4757\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013-Rembrandts-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"2013 Rembrandt\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013-Rembrandts-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013-Rembrandts-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013-Rembrandts-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013-Rembrandts.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>2013,\u00a0Rembrandt<\/h2>\n<p>In 2013 Team Rembrandts started to compete officially in the FIRST Robotics Competition. With the robot \u201cRembrandt\u201d we went to the North Carolina Regional for the game \u201cUltimate Ascent\u201d. During the North Carolina Regional we won the Rookie All Star Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Rookie All Star Award celebrates the rookie team exemplifying a young but strong partnership effort, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST to inspire students to learn more about science and technology. And thanks to this award we were granted a place at the FIRST championship 2013.<\/p>\n<h2>2014,\u00a0Nightswatch<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4763\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014-Nightwatch-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"2014, Nightwatch\" width=\"250\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014-Nightwatch-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014-Nightwatch-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014-Nightwatch-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014-Nightwatch.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In our second year, 2014, we went with our robot \u201cNightswatch\u201d again to the North Carolina Regional. But this time to compete in the \u201cAerial Assist\u201d game. This time we won the Engineering Inspiration Award. The Engineering Inspiration Award celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team\u2019s school or organization and community.<\/p>\n<p>With the Engineering Inspiration Award we were again qualified for the FIRST Championship. During the FIRST Championship 2014 we won the Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen in the Newton division. The Imagery Award is in honor of Jack Kamen, Dean\u2019s father, for his dedication to art and illustration and his devotion to FIRST. This award celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4765 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015-Brick-250x250.jpg\" alt=\"2015, Brick\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015-Brick-250x250.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015-Brick-125x125.jpg 125w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015-Brick-500x500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015-Brick.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>2015,\u00a0Brick<\/h2>\n<p>With the game 2015 \u201cRecycle Rush\u201d we went to Virginia Regional. With the robot \u201cBrick\u201d we won the Engineering Inspiration Award again and the Finalists Award. Celebrates the Alliance that makes it to the final match of the competition. Thanks to the Engineering Inspiration Award we were qualified for the FIRST Championship 2015.<\/p>\n<p>During the FIRST Championship 2015 we won the Team Spirit Award sponsored by Chrysler in the Tesla Division. The Team Spirit Award sponsored by Chrysler celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork furthering the objectives of FIRST.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2015 season we also competed in the CCM Mechatronics Trophy. In this competition we able to win the first price.<\/p>\n<h2>2016,\u00a0The Ruyter<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4767\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016-De-Ruyter-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"The Ruyter\" width=\"250\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016-De-Ruyter-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016-De-Ruyter-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016-De-Ruyter-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016-De-Ruyter.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>During the 2016 season we went with our robot \u201cDe Ruyter\u201d to the New York City and the New York Tech Valley regional to compete in the FIRST Stronghold game. In the New York City we won the Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox. The Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox celebrates an elegant and advantageous machine feature. During the New York Tech Valley regional we managed to win the Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen.<\/p>\n<p>Also during the 2016 season we competed in the CCM Mechatronics Trophy. In the 2016 competition we were again able to win the first price.<\/p>\n<h2>2017,\u00a0William<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-William-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"2017, William\" width=\"250\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-William-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-William-150x103.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-William-600x411.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-William.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>In 2017 we went with our robot \u201cWilliam\u201c to Florida to compete in the South Florida and the Orlando regional. At the South Florida regional we were able to get in to the semifinals. Were we got defeated after 3 nerve-ranking tiebreakers. But we got rewarded with the Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors.<\/p>\n<p>At the Orlando regional we won the Quality Award sponsored by Motorola Solutions Foundation. But in Orlando we, together with team 180 &#8211; S.P.A.M. &amp; team 1744 &#8211; Robo Rays, were able to win the regional. Because of that, we won out first Winner Award.<\/p>\n<p>With this award we were granted a place at the First Championship 2017 in St. Louis.
