Previously we have already published an article about our <a title=\"bevel gear\" href=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/en\/bevel-gear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bevel gears<\/a>.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>How does our Hypoid gearbox work<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/cOKu7is_fJs?rel=0&amp;wmode=opaque\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>When to use a Hypoid gearbox?<\/h2>\n<p>These are generally used for high-precision reductions in dynamic applications, for instance with a hollow-shaft design. With Hypoid gears the teeth are rolling over each other so that the output efficiency is high. For a single stage a 3: 1 up to 10: 1 reduction can be achieved. Due to the possible high dynamic input, an integrated motor shaft length compensation is integrated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7009 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/KF-S1-S2-S3-new-300x212.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/KF-S1-S2-S3-new-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/KF-S1-S2-S3-new-150x106.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.apexdyna.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/KF-S1-S2-S3-new.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>A special feature of this new series of hypoid gearboxes is that the rotation direction of the output shaft is the same as the rotation direction of the servomotor shaft. For example: you can use very small pinions in a rack applications.<\/p>\n<p>Each type of gearbox is available in seven sizes, with ratio of 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10. A backlash of &lt;3 arc minutes is default.
